Ingrid Benson-Klafehn

Ingrid Benson-Klafehn joined Lansing Engineering in 2005. She earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Landscape Architecture from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Her field of expertise consists of developing full site plan submittals from concept level to final construction, including all related aspects: demolition, layout, grading, erosion control, plant specification and construction detailing. In addition to this, she is skilled in producing various formats of presentation documents as well as demonstrating pre-development and post-development visual simulations.

Ingrid chose to pursue a career in Landscape Architecture in order to more positively influence development projects through design. As a Landscape Architect, she sees it as her responsibility to provide design solutions that interpret a client’s vision, preserve environmental resources, enhance aesthetic integrity, work within the regulatory guidelines and construct functional solutions that ultimately benefit how people live. As a designer, Ingrid understands that each individual project is unique, allowing her to be creative, progressive and practical. Ingrid finds great reward in seeing a design vision become a constructed result in the field.
